Job Overview

The Sales Operations Account Manager will lead the facilitation between the Sales team between GLC's departments: Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, QA, and Sales as new customers are on-boarded and new processes are implemented to support long-term success in existing customer relationships.

Job Responsibilities


  • Lead and coordinate with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, FSQA, Regulatory and Finance teams to ensure customer experience for established accounts is of the highest quality.
  • Direct cross-functional support of customer RFP process with key stakeholders, including management of sample, pricing, product data and documentation submission.
  • Support both new customer on-boarding and existing customer item commercialization, redesign and off-boarding processes and SAP information maintenance.
  • Facilitate in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures for effective and efficient team operations.
  • Run and evaluate sales metric reporting and present recommendations to help sales determine program trends, voids and suggestions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to create and deliver effective sales presentations.
  • Support key business opportunities by recommending solutions based on applicable data.
  • Provide and maintain detailed customer status/project updates for specific account assignments.
  • Effectively plan and lead cross functional meetings and establish plan of action and follow up needed

  • All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
  • All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.

Required Education and Experience


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field or High School Diploma and 5 years sales/customer service experience
  • 3 years or more of sales experience Food industry-preferred.
  • Proven success in project management.
  • Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • High proficiency in Excel data reporting and analytical skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to build a sales story using Microsoft PowerPoint presentation
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on functional expertise and experience.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Up to 25% of travel.
  • Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Education and Experience


  • Proven experience in flexing style to build strong internal and external customer relationships.
  • Experience working with SAP and/or a CRM program.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, evaluate and balance individual workload through effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Previous experience in sales strategy and commercialization.
  • Understanding of private label dairy industry and dairy markets.
  • In depth understanding of GLC product offerings and customer base.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed in an office setting.

• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
