SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Java/SpringBoot and Javascript required

The candidate chosen for this role will work alongside team members in an agile environment and apply technical, analytical and communication skills towards producing and maintaining a full-stack application and helping our journey towards moving to cloud.
QUALIFICATIONS: • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Expertise in Java, Spring boot and JSP/Thymeleaf required.
Experience developing Web Based Applications using Java and Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Thymeleaf, JSP , JavaScript , CSS and Tomcat
Experience developing RESTful and SOAP services in Java, Spring and Mysql.
Experience with Doker, Kuberneties and Cloud development is nice to have.
Experience working with Elastic search, Cassandra or Postgres is a bonus.
Experience using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Github Actions etc.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
Experience setting up and maintaining distributed apps with Unix/Linux environments.
Strong proficiency with data manipulation language (including but not limited to SQL and/or MySQL) including optimization techniques
Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.
Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile etc).
Knowledge of test-driven development.
Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
Ability to complete complex bug fixes and being able to investigate and support complex production issues.
Good oral and written communications skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components. • Complete complex bug fixes. • Work closely with other development team members to understand complex product requirements and translate them into software designs. • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews. • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders. • Resolve complex technical issues as necessary. • Train entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles. • Keep abreast of new technology developments. • Design and work with complex data models. • Mentor less-senior software developers on development methodologies and optimization techniques. • All other duties as assigned.
