Job Description:

Additional Responsibilities Include:  



  •  Establish functional business plans and technical objectives to meet short term and long-term goals of the BU.

  •  Support and participate in all safety activities in your BU – SAFETY FIRST 

  •  Coordinate and supervise daily activities of non-exempt and hourly employees 

  •  Drive & communicate daily metric in your BU to achieve the forecast goals.

  •  Set priorities & make schedules for the team to ensure task completion 

  •  Monitor costs/spend in your BU to match goals in the PL forecast

  •  Interpret and execute policies and procedures in accordance with Arcosa policies 

  •  Audit processes to ensure quality and cost effectiveness 

  •  Map / Track daily times -vacation - absenteeism - & discipline of those who report to you

  •  Coordinates needed transportation at the right time and for the best price  

  • Continually tracks both finished and unfinished customer goods and coordinates with the shipping department, outside vendors, and customers to ensure quick and efficient deliveries 

  • Communicates transportation status updates to stakeholders on a continual and as needed basis  

  • Finalizes loads, creates shipping documents, and communicates with shipping dispatchers frequently 

  • Evaluates freight classifications and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products.   

  •  Communicates with carriers to troubleshoot unexpected issues, which may be at times outside normal business hours  

  • Other duties and assignments as needed  


 


Requirements:    


 



  • No less than 2 years of demonstrated success in a related role, preferably in a manufacturing – logistic or scheduling setting  

  •  Ability to work on site– at all times

  • Must multitask between logistic office job and floor supervisor tasks daily

  • Ability to answer calls outside of normal business hours as needed  

  •  The ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance 

  •  A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal  


 


 



  •  Ability to analyze and solve issues pertaining to quality, safety, and production 

  •  Good communication skills and the ability to both lead and work within a teamwork environment 

  •  Supervisor / Logistical / scheduling experience is a big plus

  •  Knowledge of Welding or Steel Fabrication a plus
