What We Need From You

Barnes Healthcare Services is seeking a Patient Service Technician that supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization by delivering, setting up, and recovering durable medical equipment (DME), respiratory equipment, and other supplies to patient locations, providing instruction on the proper care and usage of equipment/supplies, and best in class customer service.

Essential Functions


  • Completes deliveries, new-patient setups, and equipment recoveries efficiently and safely within the established service area and participates in the on-call rotation as assigned

  • Educates patients on equipment, patient rights, and financial responsibility, and collects payments where applicable, all while providing best-in-class service and facilitating whole patient care.

  • Protects the safety of patients and self by adhering to established safeguards, including personal protective equipment (PPE), hazardous materials handling, and maintaining situational awareness

  • Organizes and loads products/equipment to maximize the efficiency of deliveries and safety, and always maintains security and control of company property

  • Completes all applicable documentation promptly and accurately and maintains patient confidentiality

  • Collaborates with other functions to ensure patient and partner needs are fully met.

  • Acts as a role model of the Barnes culture and a coach and mentor for others in the organization

Minimum qualifications and skills


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be 21 and have a clean driving record

  • Two years of applicable experience preferred
