Purpose
As a HR Manager, Talent Partner, you will serve as the strategic HR Business Partner to the senior leaders of your assigned client groups. You will identify and implement a talent strategy and innovative talent solutions aligned to the function’s business strategy, all with the goal of driving the function, it’s people and UNFI forward. Through collaborative, trusting partnerships, you will coach and advise your business partners on HR and talent initiatives and will promote a people-centric, high-impact organization.
How You Will Make an Impact
Primary HR point of contact for VPs and SVPs of assigned function. Partner with HR COEs to deliver HR needs and talent strategies.
Align the talent strategy to the business strategy and ensure the effectiveness of talent programs within the business
Drive the talent strategy and key talent processes (I.e., talent review, annual performance management and merit cycle, etc.)
Lead organizational design efforts for optimal structures and effectiveness
Provide analytics, insights and actions related to talent strategies, workforce composition and performance
Coach leaders on best practices and methods for talent and performance management, including leadership development.
Forecast current and future talent needs for assigned function. Proactively identify next generation leaders.
Responsible for ongoing actions that improve succession pipelines, talent readiness, career paths, DEI initiatives and retention.
Champion of the UNFI culture and a best-in-class associate experience.
Assess and monitor associate engagement on a proactive, ongoing basis. Creates action plans to systematically address opportunities and sources of associate disengagement.
Lead efforts to create the associate value proposition for your client groups. Coach business partners on ways to attract and retain talent.
Drive change management best practices to ensure strategic changes are communicated thoughtfully to associates.
Advises leaders on effective onboarding strategies and plans to ensure successful assimilation of senior leaders.
Performs other relevant job duties as required.
What We Look For
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
SPHR / SHRM-CP Preferred
7+ years of HR experience, or related field
Prior work experience as an HR/People business partner - a plus
Proven stakeholder management and business acumen skills
Understanding of HR principles & best practices for talent management, performance management, and succession planning
Working knowledge of change management practices
Track record of success working in a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization
Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize tasks
Demonstrated experience turning HR metrics and data analytics into insights / action plans
Knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
Demonstrated project management skills
Proven ability in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
Ability to build relationships in-person or virtually
Where You Will Work
This is a hybrid role, with most of the work being done remotely through MS Teams
Some travel may be required
Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment
Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal

Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone, and other office equipment during normal workday
