JOB SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Systems Project Leader is responsible for all aspects of the Labor Data Collection system/OCHMS. This includes coordinating all related activities while ensuring adequate interf ace across the Facility. The position also contributes with the implementation of new programs/systems and or requesting revisions to existing computer programs/systems required for Shop Floor Data and Labor Collection.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's value and policy statement and its accompanying principles.
Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
Wear all required personal protective equipment.
Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook).
Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
Attend all EH&S training.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions
Support the existing Shop Floor/Labor Data Collection system and assist with functionality changes of Lot Trace/OCHMS to the shop floor.
Update job routers including the standard and scrap percent.
Create new rework routers that pertain to a given item number.
Assist with the annual physical inventory.
Provide support in resolving technical OHCMS issues for the shopfloor.
Assist with the testing and error resolutions of the new MES system and provide system approvals.
Train new employees on the system.
Create and maintain menu boards and system tables such as labor prompts, user lists, printer assignments.
Test and implement program changes and help validate the integrity of the system data.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong communication skills both in-person and over the phone when interacting with service persons, vendors and computer users on a variety of issues. Must have the ability to provide quick response time to the Shop Floor/Manufacturing community.
Proficient working knowledge of Lot Trace, labor reporting, product flow and general shop operations.
Effective communicator with the ability to negotiate and influence others
Good computer skills including MS Office
