Position Overview

Working within the Interiors studio, the primary responsibility for this position is the investigation and selection of finish materials for architectural and interior projects, liaison to manufacturers and suppliers, as well as curation and organization of the firm resource library.

Position Responsibilities


  • Collaborate as project team member responsible for material palette development and finish material selection, documentation and specification of architectural and interior finish materials, furniture, art, etc. including developing of custom or specialty finishes and products


  • Support the application and specification for proposed material and product selections by investigation and collection and dissemination of related data, samples and documentation to project team members.


  • Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and artisans of interior and architectural materials


  • Provide initial evaluation of products and materials for aesthetic and functional consideration to include in the library and on firm projects


  • Coordinate vendor/product presentations and educational sessions for the Interiors Studio


  • Coordinate management of material resource center to maintain organization, filing and storage of manufacturer’s product samples and information for access and use by office staff


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in fine art, textile design, interior design or related field


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an architectural or design firm preferred


  • Working knowledge of basic characteristics and applied use of architectural and interior materials including glass, stone, wood, metal and textiles


  • Proven organizational skills required


  • Strong relationship building and presentation ability required


  • Proficiency in Adobe products


  • LEED accreditation a plus
