The Teller Services Line Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Team Leader with day to day teller operations including client servicing, audit reports, risk management and projects. In addition to Major Duties listed below, assumes management responsibility for the teller function when required and/or directed by Team Leader or Regional Manager.

The key responsibilities include:

1. Accepts, approves, and processes transactions for clients within specified limits as needed.

2. Assists teller with the processing of complex transactions and approves transactions within established limits.

3. Assists in completing unit audits and balancing general ledger accounts. Notes exceptions found with suggested corrective action plan.

4. Researches, identifies and resolves teller differences that impact the bank's exposure to loss.

5. Assists with response and resolutions to more difficult client/partner inquiries and transactions as well as client disputes and complaints.

6. Assists with assigning tasks to teller staff, organizes the work, sets short-term priorities, monitors all activity, and ensures timely and accurate completion of the work.

7. Assists team leader with scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage of the unit and other team leader responsibilities as directed.

8. Ensures policies and established procedures are followed to identify fraudulent transactions, forgeries, and counterfeit bills.

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

•2-3 years of banking experience.
•Knowledge of teller services policies and procedures usually acquired through related work experience. Problem solving, math, and attention to detail skills are necessary to research and resolve any out of balance transactions.
•Some leadership and organizational skills are required to provide feedback to staff and prioritize assignments for self and staff.
