The Post Baccalaureate Fellowship is a one semester (4-5 month) full-time, salaried position for the Spring 2023 semester. The fellow is supervised by the Director of the Center for Environmental Leadership and works collaboratively with faculty and staff in Student Life, Residence Life, Public Safety, Athletics and Wellness Center, and other EPIC Centers.This position is designed to provide a recent college graduate with programming and managerial experience in a college outdoor education program setting.
Specific duties will include:
Manage Outdoor Education (OE) social media presence, promote activities and rentals
Serve as the faculty advisor for the OE Applied Minor, OE House, and Outdoors Club
Promote and manage registration for August Wilderness 2023
Serve as the Earlham/SOLO liaison for WFR/WFA; promote and manage registration
Participate in Center for Environmental Leadership weekly meetings and semester events
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience:
Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in environmental studies/science, sustainability, outdoor education/recreation, or a related field
Must be organized, detail oriented, have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and work well in a fast-paced environment
Previous experience supervising and/or leading students preferred
Strong written and oral communication skills required
Prior experience working in outdoor ed, and/or peer education programs preferred.
