Description:

The Graphic Design Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting the Graphic Designer in creating graphic designs and coordinating creative design initiatives to successfully achieve our goals and build awareness of Royal Credit Union across all our our markets. The Intern will use graphic design skills to maintain a clear message and consistent brand image across all channels, including web and digital. Outside of graphic design, the intern is responsible for assisting with multiple marketing initiatives as it relates to overall Marketing Strategies, Key Success Factors, and Corporate Goals for Royal Credit Union. 
 

Work Schedule:

• Working approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 35-40 hours per week during the summer.

• Must be able to work onsite at Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI throughout the school year and during breaks. Remote work may be available if certain criteria are met. 

• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will start May 2023 and go through May 2024. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months.


Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Advertising, or similar field. 
• Understanding of current design trends and related marketing techniques. 
• Ability to work independently.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Experience with marketing computer software.  

• Willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other members of the team.

• Work efficiently in a high volume environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.

• Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.
 
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills: 
•  Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
