Description:

The Social Media Marketing Intern is responsible for assisting with multiple marketing initiatives as it relates to overall Marketing Strategies, Key Success Factors, and Corporate Goals for Royal Credit Union. The Intern will provide overall support to the Marketing team through campaign development and assisting with the implementation of our overall Content Strategy and Social Media Strategy through boosting Royal's brand presence and engagement by promoting products and services, and increasing Royal's ROI. 


Work Schedule:

• Working approximately 15-20 hours per week during the school year and up to 35-40 hours per week during the summer.

• Must be able to work onsite at Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI throughout the school year and during breaks. Remote work may be available if certain criteria are met. 

• This is a limited term, non-benefit eligible, position that will start May 2023 and go through May 2024. If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months.


Required Education/Experience/Skills:

• Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Communications, or similar field. 
• Understanding of all social media channels, and the differences of each. This is including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
• Ability to work independently.

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
• Strong work ethic 
• Experience with marketing computer software.  

• Willingness to learn on the job and share experiences with other members of the team.

• Work efficiently in a high volume environment with multiple deadlines and changing priorities.

• Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture.
