ADVANCED TECHNICIAN (AT) - MECHANICAL



Position Summary:


The Power & Utilities Area is recruiting for an ADVANCED TECHNICIAN (AT) - MECHANICAL (primary role to manage department lubrication program) This position will work closely with department leadership and operators as well as mill capabilities groups to achieve maximum value creation for the long-term success of the SRM. The AT-Mechanical position is responsible for effectively implementing the department's lubrication and rotating equipment Pdm programs and seeking opportunities for continuous improvement. What You Will Do In Your Role


  • EH&S leader who helps to foster a culture of personal accountability and coaches' others on hazard identification and proactive risk mitigation



  • Adhering to and helping drive excellence in all areas of compliance


  • Demonstrating ownership of asset strategies development and execution related to all lubrication, rotating equipment Pdm tracking and related reliability tasks


  • Participate in professional development continuing education course work that will improve skills and knowledge around lubrication, rotating equipment, failure analysis, etc. Share and train others to improve department reliability.


  • Maintain proper inventory and storage locations of lubricants (consistent with best practices). Train plant personal on these best practices through OJT


  • Work with mill capabilities resources executing Pdm routes and data collection and effectively communicate issues and corrective actions to department asset owners. Flow to most value-added work while also ensuring core responsibilities are met.




  • Coordinating with mill lubrication SME's on program sampling, assessments, and issue resolution


  • Participating in department meetings, training, etc. with occasional facilitating duties


  • Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with equipment/assets and play active role in root cause failure analysis and corrective action implementation


  • Apply knowledge of mechanical systems to include theory of operations to assist other mill area mechanical AT's


  • Support capital work processes, GPR, SWP issuer, etc.


  • This is a day shift position; however, will need to be flexible to work any shift, overtime, holidays, and weekends when needed.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:



  • Five (5) years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience with Power and Utilities equipment (pumps, conveying systems, blowers, motors, turbines, etc.)


  • Ability to travel when required for training, repair facility QA/QC, etc.


  • Basic theory and operational understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems


  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint,

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Ten (10) years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience with Power and Utilities Equipment (pumps, conveying systems, blowers, motors, turbines, etc.)


  • Proficient in work order management systems to initiate repairs and document reliability opportunities


  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair systems, equipment, components, and processes
