Position Summary

Opportunity to join our Future Focus Internship Program as a Cost Analysis Intern

Erie Insurance is committed to helping you learn and grow with a challenging internship position that will offer you relevant and real-world business experience. We are currently seeking many high-potential applicants for our upcoming summer internship program to join us as aCost AnalysisIntern!

Who should apply?


  • Applications are accepted from full-time college students currently attending an accredited college or university to pursue a four-year degree or to complete a master's degree program full-time
  • A four-year degree student should be completing sophomore, junior, or senior year
  • A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 is required to be considered for an internship
  • The incumbent will begin work part-time upon hiring through the semester and join our full-time summer program in May, 2023. This will be a hybrid arrangement and require the incumbent to be local to the Corporate Office in Erie, PA during the internship.
  • Applicants majoring in Accounting, Finance, or a related field highly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Cost Analysis Intern, you will:

  • Assist with month end closing process, including data gathering and journal detail backup
  • Coordinate with section on Internal and External Audit requests
  • Assist with data collection on statistical basis used for allocation of expenses
  • Review and provide analysis of various account groupings
  • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Pursuit of Bachelor's degree with completion of sophomore year in a relevant field required. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software preferred.
