Performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc., at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. Records statistical data. Analyzes data and writes summaries to validate or show deviations from existing standards. Recommends modifications to existing, or suggests new, standards, methods and procedures. Typically has up to 3 years of experience in position or specialization. Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization. Duties and tasks are standardized. Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works independently and as a team promoting cohesion within Regal Rexnord while following standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned and known tasks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Requires ability to read complex drawings. Understand Bill of Materials and have a working knowledge of manufacturing processes that may include turning boring grinding balancing, heat treating, coatings or others needed to manufacture components to the drawings and specifications. Makes decisions on whether parts meet the drawing/router specs and write scrap tickets when non-conforming product is realized. Attach inspection reports and balance records to SAP. Must have the ability to read and calibrate all gauges available in the plant. Will need the ability to learn the CMM; this includes the Zeiss and Keyonce machines. Scanning and filing production routers and material certifications will be required. Coordinate returned product through the RMA process. Actively participate in process and department improvement discussions. MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDES :

Must be computer proficient and SAP experience a plus

Hours worked

This position normally works 10 hour shifts from 2:00p-12:00a with a forty-hour work week. Some overtime may be required to meet production demands or to meet customer needs. Additionally covering daily shift for vacations would be required.

Minimum Education:

High school or GED

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area

Necessary Skills:

High Level verbal and written communication skills- English primary

High school level math skills

Work in a constant state of alertness

Regular and predictable attendance
