Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 



  • 25 % Perform and validate structural analysis using hand calculations and FEA (NASTRAN).

  • 15% Develop new designs in support of aircraft modifications and alteration activities.

  • 15% Develop release and maintain engineering models and drawings using SolidWorks.

  • 15% Support Maintenance activities by amending data to address changes created by improved maintenance practices, part numbers changes, or service experience.

  • 10% Coordinate design issues with internal and external customers and suppliers.

  • 10 % Research material and part specifications, regulatory documentation and documentations.

  • 5 % Act as Engineering focal and project leader on multiple projects.

  • 5 % Provide technical leadership for assigned projects for process / products attaining quality excellence with cost superiority.

  • Conduct oneself in accordance with Company’s Core Values

  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 



  • BS degree in Mechanical, Structural or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 2 - 5 years Aviation Industry experience is preferred with a BS, or Master’s degree with 1 - 3 years experience

  • Minimum 2 years of aircraft structural analysis experience

  • Knowledge of Mechanical Systems, Propulsion Systems, and/or Rotorcraft Flying Qualities is desired

  • Basic understanding of FAA Certification process is desired, specifically 14 CFR Part 21, 29, and 43

  • 2 years of experience using SolidWorks design software and familiarity with PDM software system is preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to be able to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels, technical and non-technical, internal and external

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications

  • Understanding and experience working within an AS9100 accredited Quality System

  • Excellent technical and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be able present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels both internal and external to the company.

  • Maintain a good working relationship with all team members, stakeholders and customers.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
