In your role as Occupational Health Nurse, you’ll help us deliver better care for billions of people around the world. 

As the Occupational Health Nurse, you will implement comprehensive occupational health services and programs that support Kimberly-Clark’s health and wellness strategy through state and federal regulatory compliance (OSHA, ADA, HIPAA, HIPAA), proactive intervention, and prevention.  While collaborating with HR, legal, and safety, you will be supporting the empowerment of our work force to achieve and sustain their best level of health and wellness.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage Occupational Health Clinic.


  • Administer all medical surveillance and clearance programs for the site.


  • Maintain all medical information per Occupational Health, legal, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines.


  • Work collaboratively with Safety and Industrial Hygiene regarding risk assessments, surveillance, medical clearance, work-related injuries/prevention, accommodations/return to work, and Emergency Response Team.


  • Consult with HR and site management regarding accommodations, return to work, EAP, Fit for Duty, ADA, Drug and Alcohol, etc.


  • Evaluate, treat, and manage, workers compensation cases as well as non-work related injury and illness.


  • Supervise leave of absence under STD and FMLA.


  • Support K-C Wellness and Healthy Being initiatives; assist in accident investigations; and administer vaccines as warranted.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:


  • Registered Nurse with unrestricted license; comfortable working autonomously.


  • BSN or BS with 3-5 years occupational health experience preferred.


  • Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal skills; proficient computer, presentation and consultation skills.


  • CPR/AED certified.


  • Case Management experience required.


  • Knowledge of EAP, OSHA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA required.


  • Occupational Health Certification, NIOSH-approved Spirometry, and CAOHC certification preferred but can be completed once employed.


  • Occupational knowledge to include epidemiology, occupational and environmental health, toxicology, safety, industrial hygiene.
