Job Summary:

The Business Data Analysis is responsible for ensuring that UAC milestones are accurately and completely input and/or corrected before finalizing them and relaying the analytics to the government client.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, computer savvy and successful experience working in a dynamic environment working with individuals at all levels.

The Business Data Analyst will be the point of contact for business instructions to functionally analyze the business process and to collaborate with stakeholders and Information Technology personnel to facilitate change in business strategy, data analytics and reporting requirements.

Key functions you will perform!


  • Analyze custom transportation scheduling application for completion and accuracy (Data Quality


  • Data mine in Excel, SSRS and Power BI to produce reports.


  • Pulls incomplete and inaccurate records and does research by contacting employees, Site Supervisors and/or Site Managers to get complete and/or correct information.


  • Responds to phone calls from internal customers as well as clients with finesse.


  • Utilizes different methods of communication to contact various employees (i.e., telephone, text, email) in order to track down pertinent information in order to meet tight deadlines.


  • Assures integrity of the reports by validating source information.


  • Maintains and safeguards sensitive and confidential information.


  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


  • Responsible for receiving incoming business requests from customers at all hours and return confirmation of receipt and timely replies.


  • Develop repeatable processes and scripts to improve efficiency associated with data analysis.


  • Ability to present data analysis in layperson terms.


  • Ability to coordinate and complete tasks with little or no supervision.


  • Analyze data issues in production, working with the development and data governance teams to document the root cause and solution to address the issue.


  • Excellent interpersonal skills Attentive to detail, highly organized, and able to multi-task Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.


  • Proven ability to determine systemic process faults and improve overall process performance across organizations.


What you will need to have:


  • Bachelor’s degree and/or IT certificate or Associates with two years of experience in data analysis or quality assurance.


  • At least five years’ experience using Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, SQL Server, data warehousing, data mart and managed cloud environment.


  • Experience in data mining.


  • Strong analytical skills.


  • Produces high quality deliverables with strong attention to detail.


Clearance: 

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance 


  • Favorable credit check
