Job Purpose and Scope:

Assists Deposit Operations Balancing management by responding to retail branch requests for assistance related to cash processing, Stop Pays, Non-Posts, and BounceProof. Performs initial problem analysis when system problems occur.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Performs responsibilities in a professional and accurate manner and according to Bank policies, procedures, and established compliance regulations.
  2. Assists branch employees with transactional processing issues.
  3. Balances checking accounts and general ledger accounts.
  4. Balances Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) and works with retail branch staff to resolve outages.
  5. Processes non-posted items for deposit applications and the general ledger.
  6. Balances secondary correspondence accounts.
  7. Verifies Stop Payments and Delayed Availability forms.
  8. Performs general functions of the BounceProof program.
  9. Processes research requests.
  10. Monitors internally used general ledger accounts for transaction accuracy.
  11. Monitors asset verifications and government requests, such as Medicaid and Social Security Administration.
  12. Utilizes Excel spreadsheets in completing daily job tasks.
  13. Completes all required training by assigned deadlines.
  14. Maintains good attendance and punctuality to work.
  15. Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

  1. Knowledge of basic cash transaction and balancing concepts.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  3. Ability to work effectively and demonstrate flexibility in a continually changing environment.
  4. Ability to respond promptly to customer requests and demonstrate effective customer service skills.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  6. Ability to demonstrate effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  8. Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  9. Ability to learn, follow, and interpret Bank policies and procedures
  10. Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  11. Ability to effectively communicate with internal, external customers, and third party vendors.
  12. Ability to work extended hours as needed.
  13. Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
