TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST

Position Summary/Objective
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting: sourcing, screening, and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external).


 Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  1. Partners with Hiring Manager to strategically source and project manage the full life-cycle recruiting process.

  2. Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments, reference checking, and makes recommendations for hiring selection decisions

  3. Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned territory.

  4. Works with HR Manager to focus on effective branding across the nation using the company website and through job boards. 

  5. Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

  6. Works with HR Manager to develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.

  7. Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.

  8. Develops and maintains an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing goals.

  9. Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations, avoiding discrimination to include disparate impact and disparate treatment.

  10. Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).



  1. 11.   Post and close job ads in ATS/HRMS

  2. 12.   Send rejection letters & archive candidates and closed job postings. 

  3. 13.   Monitor postings to ensure that hiring managers are updating candidate statuses

  4. 14.   Keep candidates in ATS updated by typing phone screen requests and upload into ATS/HRMS



  1. Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

  2. Maintains memberships and affiliations with trade/professional organizations related to recruiting in our industry.

  3. Maintains job postings and updates as needed.


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)


1.        3-5+ years full cycle recruiting experience


2.        HRIS/ATS experience.


3.        Business Acumen.


4.        Communication.


5.        Cultural Awareness.


6.        Relationship Management.


7.        National reach and resources
