Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Analytics-Insights Leader with emphasis on 1.outbound/inbound patient phone calls and messages regarding billing-related concerns and other general inquiries,  2. auditing/reporting, and 3. building strong patient relationships and delivering patient-centric solutions.

Sona Dermatology is searching for a Revenue Cycle Analyst with extraordinary patient service and organizational skills to join our corporate team. This position will serve as an advocate for our patient’s concerns and do applicable research to provide clarification. This role is well-suited for an individual with a background in Revenue Cycle with a focus on patient service. This position will report to the Analytics-Insights Leader, role duties and responsibilities are not limited to:

• Contact Pre-Collection Dermatology Patients (call patients for payment)


• Payer Research (plans, contracts, reimbursements, regulations, status guides)

Capabilities Experience / Expertise / Education     _______                                 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required


• Experience in a high-volume inbound call setting related to patient billing and collections


• Proven ability to mitigate complex patient concerns and inquiries in a professional manner


• Exceptional follow-up, research, and problem-solving skills


• Well-versed in CPT and ICD-10-CM codes and procedural modifiers, claim forms, HIPAA, billing and insurance regulations, medical terminology, insurance benefits, and appeal processes


• Knowledge of medical practice management and EHR software and systems. Preferably EMA/Modernizing Medicine (EHR system)


• Knowledge and experience in revenue cycle operations for multi-million-dollar receivables management


• Knowledge and experience in payer contracting and payment mechanisms is strongly preferred


• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to present complex information and respond to questions from patients, teammates, and managers
