Job Description:

Interested in joining a fast-paced, growing eCommerce company? Aleva Stores is looking for a Product Content Specialist to join our eCommerce Marketing team.

The Product Content Specialist analyzes existing product content and coordinates with product management to create product catalog additions, modifications, and deletions. This position also organizes product data in defined templates and works with marketing team for final review and syndication to sites.

Duties / Responsibilities:


  • Ensure content is robust, accurate, current, timely and fresh by working with product management to obtain, organize, implement, and maintain optimized creative content (images, graphics, etc.) and product catalog with product images, content and data aligned with the relevant website merchandising strategy (i.e., categories, attributes, UX design) and brand standards.

  • Maintain and manage all product data and creative assets fixing data errors and responding to reports of inaccuracies. Maintain pipeline with product management and customer service teams to ensure inaccuracies and errors are quickly identified and corrected.

  • Coordinate with product management to separate past season products from current season product listings to promote sell-thru.

  • Remove sold-out items in a timely fashion

  • Work with product management team to ensure past-season price break is anticipated and effective on the day of the price break, communicate as necessary with marketing.

  • Gather information and integrate data from the necessary departments to create robust and accurate product addition build-outs aligned with defined templates ensuring appropriate feature, attribute and category assignments aligned with merchandising strategies.

  • Follow SEO-friendly content guidelines provided by marketing team. Perform technical SEO site audits and execute maintenance as required.

  • Ensure new products are listed and enabled the moment they are received and located in the warehouse

  • Develop and maintain sitemap including temporary promotional site links as well as 301 and other redirected site links

  • Delegate work as needed to approve Virtual Assistances, controlling quality, and ensuring accuracy.

  • Work with internal teams to ensure data integrity and alignment with company and brand goals

  • Document and refine standard operating procedures.

  • Establish and execute tactical and technical merchandising & catalog administration strategy improving user experience via effective navigation, categorization, attribute assignment and product positioning, utilizing customer voice data from customer service and marketing.

  • Maintain on-site search refinement to ensure customer is directed to the most appropriate path to purchase.

  • Identify on-site search trends that might suggest a change in user behavior

  • Assist with Amazon and other marketplace expansion efforts.

  • Maintenance and optimizmization of site feeds to ad-click channels as well as alternate marketplaces.

  • Performs other job duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Bachelors’ degree, or equivalent experience, preferred.

  • Google Analytics certification, required.

  • 1-3 years work / internship experience in eCommerce technology field, or equivalent, preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal communication and ability to work autonomously while simultaneously collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. 

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers and analytical thinking, with clear and proven organizational skills 

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while delivering flawless work 

  • Must be able to dig deep into data to find insights, problems, and opportunities. 

  • Advanced Excel knowledge required 

  • Exceptional critical thinking and analytical skills 

  • Ability to adapt in a fast paced environment
