Non-CDL Delivery Truck Driver

Job Summary: 

This position exists to deliver ordered products to customer jobsites, as well as coordinate the returning of products from jobsite to a location.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Be committed to customer service above all else – each driver is the face of Kimal to customers and the jobsite, and will act professionally and courteously at all times


• Responsible for delivery of building material products to job sites as directed by dispatch or management, and document deliveries in system as directed by information or pictures


• Responsible for assisting customers, helping to load trucks, and helping with yard/warehouse organization and cleanliness while waiting on loads


• Responsible for keeping the truck clean inside and out and providing daily maintenance checklists


• Obey all traffic laws while operating company vehicles (seat belts, hands-free cell phones)


• Make pickups of returning materials as directed by supervisor


• Have a working knowledge of all products that position will deliver and be able to effectively  and accurately coordinate customer delivery requests


• Any other tasks as assigned by management

 

Compensation:

• Starting hourly wage $18-$20, depending on experience

Requirements: 

• Valid state Driver’s License 


• Must have high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle 


• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) 


• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions 


• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb 


• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds of material 


• Refrain from distractions such as texting and talking on phone. 


• Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S 

**All new hires must complete pre-employment background check and drug test** 

  

Preferred:

• Previous material handling a plus


• Previous forklift experience
