Location is actively searching for an Inventory Control Specialist to Ensure that throughput, workflow, and production plan goals are accomplished by supporting material handling and inventory control to support Warehouse Operations. The Inventory Control Specialist will assist Warehouse and various Production departments by conducting training, participating in process improvements, and supporting material issue/problem resolution. Support programs, policies, and procedures in order to help the growth of AMI as a world class medical device manufacturer. This position is hiring for Second Shift (4:00pm-2:30am).

Rotating Schedule, Monday- Friday

If hired, you will be eligible for a $1,000.00 Sign on Bonus (minus appropriate tax withholdings). You will be paid the first $500.00 after completing your first 90 days and the second $500.00 after completing your first 180 days, if you are an employee in good standing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Move materials throughout the facility as required.

  2. Responsible for picking and pulling material to fulfill work orders and deliveries.

  3. Forklift, stock pickers, and turret truck equipment operations.

  4. Performs needed stock adjustments in SAP and communicate as necessary.

  5. Responsible for replenishing supermarkets, Kanban, and other replenishment areas for Production support.

  6. Responsible for managing inventory levels for DTS items and other assigned materials.

  7. Performs cycle counting, bin audits, and inventory reconciliation through SAP.

  8. Supports in warehouse organization and put away.

  9. Troubleshoots inventory discrepancies.

  10. Accurately transfers material in SAP from one location to another.

  11. Works closely will all other Warehouse functions and other Production areas.

  12. Generates bin tags and ensures that information is accurate and complete.

  13. Adhere to all Quality System Requirements.

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for manufacturing of products.

  • Basic understanding of BOMs and Routers and their use for manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and computer systems such as word processing, managing files and records, Excel, Power Point, Agile, Documentum, SAP, and Microsoft Outlook.


  • Advance knowledge of inventory concepts.

  • Intermediate/advance knowledge of MS Office required.

  • Ability to operate SAP WM main and advanced functions.

  • A thorough knowledge of production and manufacturing

  • Must have the ability to perform tasks by reading, understanding, and following work instructions/documents provided.

  • Demonstrated understanding of GMPs, DHR content, and change management processes.

  • Knowledge of inventory traceability, production processes, inspections, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing, distribution, and traceability of products.

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and computer systems such as word processing, managing files and records, Excel, Power Point, Agile, Documentum, SAP, and Microsoft Outlook.

  • Expected to train new hires and support in audits


Education/

Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

6 months of prior related experience required.

Basic computer knowledge (Windows applications) for material issuance and inventory tracking and control required.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

2 years of warehouse experience required.

Intermediate computer knowledge (Windows applications) for material issuance and inventory tracking and control required.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardizations exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.

Physical Demands:

Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. To bend frequently and lift 50-70 lbs. on a regular basis

Visual acuity necessary to do the job safely and effectively.
