Job Description:

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN IFG MAINTENANCE MANAGER LOCATED AT ATHOL, ID SAWMILL.


 NEW INCREASED PAY STRUCTURE AND 1,000.00. INCENTIVE BONUS!


POSITION EXPECTATIONS:



  • Work with Behavioral Based Safety Specialist to assure safety processes including OSHA regulations, audits, safety policy training and development

  • Perform all duties in compliance with safety and environmental rules and regulations

  • Oversee the maintenance department and maintenance business processes

  • Continuously improve equipment reliability through predictive maintenance

  • Oversee root cause analysis, assessment and repair of problems as they arise

  • Work with Human Resource Manager to implement Company policy, retain workforce, assist in hiring and coaching team members, oversee scorecard and review process

  • Manage and assist in developing department budget, payroll planning, contract labor, and proper tooling procurement

  • Train and educate employees, designs work schedules and delegate responsibilities

  • Oversee the documentation and scheduling of predictive and preventative equipment maintenance

  • Manage the tracking of machine centers for reliability including downtime hours, MTBF etc.

  • Recommend, supports, and adheres to LEAN/Six Sigma principals including 6S, Kaizen, and DMAIC projects.

  • Oversee the procurement and inventory of parts and materials

  • Work in conjunction with other departments to diagnose complex equipment problems

  • Other tasks as required


EDUCATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:



  • College Degree or equivalent with education of the maintenance business process

  • 5+ Years’ Experience as a Maintenance Manager

  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements and safety procedures

  • Proven leadership and team building skills

  • Organizational skills with ability to multitask

  • Demonstrated technical or maintenance and supervisory skills

  • Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes

  • Proficient computer skills including use of maintenance management systems, project planning systems, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to operate a variety of material handling equipment and tools desirable


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs.  Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations, and airborne particles (sawdust).
