We Want You

A new world and a new journey await you. It is a world different from any other Blizzard has created.

If you're a passionate game developer, and, well, a good human being, then we'd love to talk to you. We have a new AAA survival game in the works, set in a new IP for PC/Console. It's going to be amazing, and we'd love to bring you along for the ride. Together, we'll build something big, bold, and beautiful.

Do you love mentoring, training, and helping other Game Developers make the most beautiful game ever? Are you a veteran AAA Technical Artist with experience in materials, shaders, and lighting? Do you want to collaborate with other world class artists, engineers, designers, and technical artists to help solve some of our most complex problems? Do you get excited about bringing your unique and diverse experiences to the table, as well as humbly learning things from people around you? Do you geek out on shaders, lighting, materials and rendering tech? Then let's talk!

In the end, you will be integral to our players' ability to enter a beautiful world that will stand the test of time, and you'll help ensure that players look back on their time in our world with fondness and awe.

We believe our team is good. Really good. Granted, we're obviously biased. But we also believe there are lots of developers out there who can make us even better. You could be one of those people. If you're looking for a team where inclusion, thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration are all seen as critically important, we believe our team could be a phenomenal fit for you. Join us and help craft our future!

  • Providing vision, and long-term planning for Look Development

  • Setting up strategies and planning for optimizing runtime performance without sacrificing artistic integrity

  • Developing Material libraries, Textures, and Lighting

  • Teaming up with Engineers and Technical Artists to help further the state of development tools

Bonus points for:

  • Strong art skills with experience and deep understanding of modeling, texturing, animation, & lighting for games.

  • Proficiency with profiling tools in the examination & diagnosis of performance issues.

  • Proficiency in the typical game-dev DCC applications

  • Passion for lighting and art direction

  • Strong technical problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity writing tools in Python or C++ for DCC applications such as Houdini, Maya, Substance, and Perforce.

You'll need to provide us with:

  • Your Resume

  • Your portfolio or reel, if applicable - Only digital applications will be accepted, such as a website, blog, or online album. Physical media will not be accepted.

Things to expect during the interview process:

  • Select one or more games you've played deeply and want to talk about during a potential interview - and why you chose those games.
