Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an ITS Design Manager to join our growing ITS team by adding staff in our Greenville SC office.

We are looking for a candidate capable of managing and leading an ITS team, including coordinating with internal and external clients, developing scope and cost estimates, reviewing ITS plans and specification, developing and maintaining project schedules, and lead proposal development and presentations for client projects and pursuit opportunities.

Role accountabilities:


  • Develop ICM and ATM operations and maintenance policies, procedures and manuals
  • Implement ICM and ATM operations and maintenance policies
  • Provide program support functions for large engineering programs across the Southeast
  • Research and implement smart infrastructure and CAV technologies in programs and corridors
  • Work with other disciplines such as survey, roadway design, and environmental to increase engineering knowledge and facilitate successful project delivery
Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of ITS design and management experience
Key Attributes:

  • Project Management experience with ITS project design, which may include cost estimates, technical reports and construction plans

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience providing coordination between government agencies

  • Experience in a client facing role, making presentations, and managing client expectations. Interpersonal and client facing requirements will require someone with excellent, clear, and concise, oral and written communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to coordinate meetings, conduct effective client presentations and prepare written reports
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills and be a self-motivated, team-oriented and flexible individual who possess the initiative and ability to tackle new projects, challenges, and concepts
