Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a full-time Senior UXO Supervisor/Technical Manager to help our growing Military Munitions Response Program (MMRP) by supporting both marketing and project delivery with technical expertise. The ideal candidate will provide technical, quality, and safety leadership; business development/proposal support to targeted key federal clients on upcoming task order competitions; help increase our leadership in the federal, state, county and commercial marketplace with a nationwide focus; and become a recognized leader for the global company. This position will serve as a munitions response technical, quality, and safety leader to project and proposal teams. The candidate may serve in the role of a SUXOS, UXOQCS, UXOSO, and/or task manager; oversee project and proposal deliverables; provide quality assurance and quality control on relevant projects; and support our Munitions Response Team and munitions response strategy to increase our capacity to win and deliver large munitions response projects.

Role accountabilities:


  • Support projects and project teams through a comprehensive understanding of Federal regulations required for MMRP.
  • Experience working on all phases of munitions response projects and or range clearance activities as SUXOS, UXOSO, and/or UXOQCS.
  • Conduct health and safety, quality control, and explosive audits.
  • Identify, hire, train, and oversee UXO Technicians.
  • Candidate required to be responsible person on ATF License and help manage Corporate ATF licensure.
  • Provide mentoring, growth, and career development and training of staff companywide in support of MMRP project delivery.
  • Develop munitions response technical approaches and cost estimates during proposal efforts.
  • Support project teams in preparing MMRP project planning documents and other MEC-related technical documents.
  • Effective communication and leadership to support colleagues and subordinates.
  • Position requires up to 50% travel.
Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • US Naval School EOD Graduate
  • Minimum 12 years of progressive EOD/UXO experience
  • SUXOS, UXOSO and UXOQCS qualified in accordance with DDESB TP-18
  • Certifications: USACE CQM or ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety course, OSHA 8-hour Supervisor course
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Dive qualified and CWM experience
