The primary focus for our Foodservice Regional Category Executive is maintaining, identifying, and growing profitable Foodservice revenue.
Major Responsibilities
Manage Field Sales Foodservice category by maintaining and growing revenue within targeted Foodservice distributors.
Generates sales and margin growth while being aware of EBITDA
Educates and consults with AE’s and Distributors on Essendant’s products, values, services, and resources available to help distributors grow their business with Foodservice and Essendant.
Provide focus on specific product and pricing on foodservice selection identified through our quarterly GAP analysis.
Collaborative with our Foodservice Sr. Product Manager and their team to enhance our product offering with our current Foodservice Supplier Partners.
Identify new National Suppliers to partner with Essendant to strength our category strategy and increase our category product offering.
Participate in developing Foodservice initiatives and category strategies.
Ability to travel 25-30 %
Initiation and conduct quarterly Foodservice Supplier Business reviews.
Participate in Foodservice distributors business review with Account Executives
Complete & Present annual Foodservice GAP analysis to Sr. Director and Foodservice Team with recommendations on strategy, new suppliers’ engagement, and category expansion.
Maintain a strong and robust pipeline through Essendant LACRM tool and participate in bi-monthly pipeline and scorecard cadence calls.
Participate in Monthly Merchandising & Inventory collaborative call updating teams on current sales & market conditions.
Work closely with Jan San, Foodservice and Industrial Category team on Foodservice initiatives, bi-monthly team calls and lead Foodservice category.

Ability to communicate with distributors & suppliers at all levels of management

Ability to work cross functionally within Essendant
Strong experience using Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and other related Microsoft tools.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in Foodservice product category.
