Talent Marketing & Communications Specialist at Garmin International

Job Description:

The Talent Marketing and Communication Specialist will develop and execute dynamic talent marketing programs to attract top talent to Garmin. In this role, you will own and execute content strategy for the Garmin Careers website, LinkedIn and Careers social channels with the goal of increasing brand awareness in support of Garmin’s people strategy.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Oversee a comprehensive talent marketing strategy that creates brand awareness and successfully draws qualified candidates to the top of the recruiting funnel through social media campaigns, eblasts, digital ad retargeting and SEO

  • Collaborate with HR leadership and Garmin’s internal recruitment team to generate applications, address recruiting challenges, improve the candidate experience and foster positive interaction between potential candidates and Garmin

  • Own and execute channel content strategy for Garmin LinkedIn and Careers social with input from a variety of stakeholders including HR, PR, product marketing, executive office and others. Analyze data to assess channel effectiveness for overall brand engagement

  • Serve as key stakeholder for Garmin’s Careers website and suggest improvements to maximize impact to potential applicants

  • Monitor external employment sites such as Indeed and Glassdoor and plan and execute activities for engaging reviewers and driving quality applicants to the Garmin Career site

  • Determine and execute plans to increase brand recognition for Garmin Careers for Garmin’s 20+ US locations. Utilize marketing techniques to articulate differentiated employment positioning for specific markets, leveraging the overall brand guidelines and Garmin value proposition

  • Develop key messaging and content to support overall talent marketing and brand awareness strategy; build a repository of content, resources, and assets for use in recruitment and corporate communications

  • Work with HR leadership to create and execute on paid and organic marketing campaigns that drive candidate pipelines and provide recommendations on optimizing talent sourcing

  • Maintain strong relationships and work closely with Garmin’s internal creative teams to develop collateral in support of both to employer and recruitment strategies to attract top talent

  • Write, develop and deploy quality corporate content for the Careers website and social channels as needed

  • Create and maintain engaging job descriptions

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Support corporate PR outreach by promoting and driving community awareness of a variety of initiatives such as philanthropic campaigns, corporate wellness events and STEM outreach programs

  • Collaborate with Internal Communications to promote a positive candidate-to-associate transition

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED SPECIFIC TO THIS ROLE:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, PR or another similar field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in marketing, human resources or corporate communications

  • Proven experience delivering results in employer branding/recruitment marketing

  • Experience working with digital advertising, social recruitment and content strategies to support recruitment efforts

  • Superior writing and presentation skills

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience with CXM platforms such as Sprinklr

  • Experience with HTML, CMS and SEO tools

  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign or similar commercial software

  • Experience driving brand awareness strategies
