Job Description:

Position Summary


As a Central Office Technician you will maintain the company's central office equipment including IP networking equipment ensuring optimal equipment performance while providing professional, courteous internal and external customer service. 


Qualifications 


You are required to have: 



  • 2 or more years of experience working with telecommunications equipment and service, including Cyan, Ciena, and Roadem

  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry equipment applications, including switching, transmission, IP transport, voice systems, metaswitch, and system features

  • Must be willing to work outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends and oncall schedule

  • Good communication, documentation and problem solving skills

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record


Additional preferred qualifications: 



  • Associate degree in telecommunications engineering or related

  • CCNA

  • Power Limited Technician license 


Schedule 


Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM; hours and work days may vary with workload; on-call rotation; and over-time as needed 


Location 


This position can be located many of our locations, including Perham, St. Cloud, Melrose, Detroit Lakes, New Hope, or Wabasso, MN.
