This role is Worksite dependent and can only be performed onsite. You must be fully vaccinated if you're to come onsite OR undergo testing twice a week.

We're looking for Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced, customer-focused primary care/adult medicine/pediatric teams for Cigna Medical Group across the Phoenix Valley. Work hours: Typically Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Some hours may vary based on the location.

What you'll do:


  • Ensure day-to-day operations run like a well-oiled machine: Use your supernatural organizational powers to help manage the health care needs of our varied patient populations, accurately follow all policies and procedures, provide excellent customer service through all avenues of communication, practice in alignment with the scope of your certification or licensure, appropriately manage ambiguity, recognize appropriate ways to deal with conflict management, and properly document your efforts of all the care and information provided to our patients.

  • Get hands-on: For medical assistants, you may be rooming for a provider, which includes taking vital signs, entering data in patient chart, assisting with in-office procedures, reviewing medications, and outreaching to patients and providers for the purposes of continuing care. You may also be returning calls to patients, answering questions for patients, completing referrals, chart prep, and forms management. Overall, you will work with the clinicians, your peers, and the patients to meet the needs of the practice. Great communication is a "must" to be successful.

  • Healthcare is an ever-changing world. We need to adjust to the changes in our environment so that we can provide the best care possible.


  • Be a superstar in the eyes of providers and patients alike: Help answer questions, concerns, and requests, either in person, through our EHR and patient portal, or by phone.


This job is for you if you:

Graduate of approved MA program or graduate of an unapproved program with successful completion of certification examination; graduate of a US Armed Forces medical services program or practicing medical assistant who completed supervision requirements prior to February 2, 2000 ("grandfather clause"). High school diploma or GED certificate Have excellent customer skills, and care deeply about providing empathetic, quality care to customers Have spent time in a healthcare environment Know your way around a computer BLCS certification

Bonus points for:


  • 1+ year experience in the outpatient setting

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills
