Under the direction of the Corporate Risk leader(s), the Risk Management Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the credit union’s risk management programs, including enterprise risk management, vendor management, business continuity, and security. Serve as a risk expert for the credit union, developing and implementing innovative risk program policies, procedures, and program components that meet regulatory guidelines and industry best practices while facilitating the credit union’s strength and growth.



 



Work Schedule:



This is a full-time, position working core hours between 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday with additional hours as needed.



 



Required Education/Experience/Skills:




  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience


  • Two (2) years of experience working in a financial institution or equivalent related experience


  • Knowledge of vendor management, business continuity, enterprise risk management, and/or security programs


  • Communicate and live RCU's core purpose and values, these define and drive our organizational culture



 



Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:




  • Previous decision making, team solution, and/or group leadership experience


  • Certified Vendor Management Professional, Certified Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert, etc., or ability to obtain certificate
