Job Description:

FCH Enterprises Inc (Zippy's Restaurants and more) is looking for a Multi-Skilled Worker II

Multi-Skilled Worker (MSW) II is responsible for ensuring that worksites are properly maintained for safety purposes while working on different work orders such as installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment in various trades.

  • Proficient knowledge in Electrical troubleshooting and repair

  • Ability to multi-task on all aspects of a commercial building facility maintenance and/ or repair work order

  • Ability to multi-task on all aspects of kitchen equipment and plumbing maintenance and/ or repair work order

  • Familiarity and comfortability operating the following tools: hand and power tools, electrical wires, machinery or equipment and other general equipment such as ladders

  • Familiarity and comfortability working with hazardous chemicals in within a commercials buildings, plantations or restaurant areas such as slippery surfaces, confined spaces and extreme hot and cold temperatures


  • Periodic preventive maintenance

  • Basic knowledge gas and electrical equipment such as fryers, steamers, grills, etc.

  • Ability to diagnose system malfunctions and determine the necessary maintenance and/ or repair procedures through various methods


  1. Scheduling:

    • Work 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

    • Able to work nights and weekends when necessary to complete project.

    • Able to be on-call for emergencies.

  2. Education & Experience:

    • High school diploma or G.E.D.

    • 2 years of repair and maintenance experiences, specifically with food processing and bakery plant equipment

  3. Desired Skills and Attributes:

    • Ability to read and understand blueprints

    • Ability to operate welding equipment (gas and stick)

    • Knowledgeable and resourceful on repair procedures of food processing and bakery plant equipment

    • Knowledgeable with high and low voltage electrical systems

    • Proficient communication skill and a positive "can do" attitude

    • Time management skills

    • Work independently or with a group to meet repair or construction deadlines

    • Willingness to learn and perform various other jobs

    • Adaptable to operational changes

  1. Physical Ability:

    • Able to lift up to 50 pounds

    • Work will involve a lot of physical labor (i.e. lifting, bending, reaching, stretching, etc.)

    • Will be required to stand/ walk for up to 8 hours/day

    • Good hand eye coordination especially with using tools and equipment

  1. Mental Ability:

    • Proficient in the English language

    • Ability to read and follow detailed plans

    • Planning/organization skills (ability to set long-term or short-term goals)

  1. Environmental Conditions:

    • Outdoors on roofs tops

    • Indoors inside freezers and refrigerators

    • Must be able to work in hot and cold environments


  • Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance

    • Issued clearance with 12 months before start date OR at age 16 years or older (no further testing is required)

    • Issued Risk Assessment
      • If tested positive or has prior history of testing positive than chest x-ray or symptom screen for clearance is acceptable

  • Yield favorable results for drug screening test and background check
