Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution that provides pediatric health care and helps our patients more than half a million times each year in a setting designed just for their needs. Our history began in 1901 in a small house on the corner of Alpine and Castelar Streets (now Hill St. in Chinatown) and today our medical experts offer more than 350 pediatric specialty programs and services to meet the needs of our patients. 

Position Summary: The Registered Nurse II in the Operating Room, under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care.

12 Hours Shift Monday-Friday 7am-7:30pm with weekend, call and holiday requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years’ experience circulating in multiple surgical specialties in an acute hospital setting.
Pediatrics experience is preferred.
Previous experience working in a level 1 trauma center is preferred.
Scrub and circulation experience is preferred.
Ability to assess effectiveness of patient care; maintain a calm demeanor and assist in crises and emergencies; prioritize tasks for complex patient care; communicate tactfully, professionally, and effectively, verbally and in writing.

Education/Licensure/Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current CA RN License
American Heart Association CPR and PALS required
