Job Description:



The Food Solutions International General Manager oversees the operations and functions of Food Solutions International and Napoleon's Bakery Plant, which services all Zippy's Restaurants and outside retail and wholesale accounts with food and products.


GENERAL MANAGER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Aware of the goals and direction of the Company and align all decisions and activities of the Food Solutions and Napoleon's Bakery production operations to support that direction and achieve the goals

  • Ensure that production, distribution and marketing of all food and pastries produced in the Food Solutions International and Napoleon's Bakery facility meets all quality standards and are consistent and wholesome

  • Maintain compliance with USDA and FDA standards and regulations for safe food handling

  • Maintain compliance with regulations for trucking and distribution with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

  • Oversees the production quantities to ensure the most accurate quantities are produced for all items, communicating necessary adjustments as needed with involved management

  • Ensures that good production decisions are made, using current and updated numbers and analysis, to maintain good food costing and minimize waste

  • Open to opinions on improvement and changes and will research feasible options before coming to conclusions

  • Makes good business decisions to maintain profitability of both production operations, with regards to pricing, sales, distribution, equipment, food cost and labor

  • Conducts analysis for different projects to determine the feasibility and cost analysis and recommends further direction


GENERAL MANAGER OTHER FUNCTIONS:


  • Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation of projects or information

  • Support and direct the Research & Development operation to ensure new and workable menu items are introduced

  • Support the production Managers to ensure that they are maintaining their roles and responsibilities; working to develop their skills and competence

  • Seek ways to improve the production processes as well as ways to support the Zippy's operations

  • Continuously seek ways to improve efficiencies within the facility or look at doing things differently and make changes as needed

  • Ensure safety programs are implemented and consistently ongoing so employees are safety conscious and reduce the number of injuries

  • Member of the Holiday Planning and Menu Planning Committees

GENERAL MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL


  • High School Diploma or GED is required


    • Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or equivalent work experience is highly preferred



  • Work knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites

  • At least Three (3) years experience in managerial position



  • Availability and flexibility to work



    • General work schedule: Monday through Friday, between 7:00am and 5:00pm or longer shifts as needed


    • Weekends and evenings shifts as needed

  • Good speech and hearing necessary for communicating, talking on the phone, responses with managers and employees

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:



  • Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance



    • Issued clearance with 12 months before start date OR at age 16 years or older (no further testing is required)



    • Issued Risk Assessment


      • If tested positive or has prior history of testing positive than chest x-ray or symptom screen for clearance is acceptable





  • Completing a drug test and yielding favorable results
