The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administrative requirements of the employee benefit plans, including group health, dental, disability, life, and 401(k). Handles the updating and transfer of employee eligibility data to external benefit vendors. Assists with answering benefit inquiries and requests for information from employees. Maintains online benefit document library to ensure accurate and up to date information. Helps with implementing employee engagement initiatives and benefit communication campaigns.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Maintain and update employee eligibility for health reimbursement accounts, employee assistance programs and wellness plans using the vendors' web-based portals
Track employee terminations and other qualifying evens for COBRA reporting
Assist employees with inquiries via phone or email
Mail required benefits documents and notices to employees
Support planning and arrangement of annual benefits open enrollment process
Provide ongoing support for benefit and human resources teams as needed
Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent
Three years' experience in human resources with benefits experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft suite and systems, specifically Excel pivot tables
Self-directed with excellent organizational skills
Excellent time management skills, organization and ability to work with competing priorities
Emphasis on accuracy, attention to detail, reliability and confidentiality
Preferred Skills/Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related field
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, typically in a cubicle environment (constant noise, fluorescent overhead lighting)
