Key Responsibilities:


  • Leading and inspiring a technical team of engineers to achieve delivery for the consumer retail experience. Work closely with technical product, program, and business teams to coordinate goals roadmaps and resource allocation for projects and be a close stakeholder in planning and coordinating efficient delivery.

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of strategic Retail Technology initiatives. Own the technology roadmap for retail and successful business projects delivery(on-time, on-budget, w/ highest quality)

  • Technology Product ownership, work with other technical teams to ensure that technical strategies, architecture guidelines, and standards are developed and followed. Define and own project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning, financial planning, and risk assessment

  • Recruit and retain talent in a high performing engineering product team; maintain and nourish talent. Provide team members with an environment of coaching, mentoring, feedback, and staff development

  • Work across the IT organization to build strong relationships that foster a team spirit. Focus on Support and product teams

  • Have a forward-thinking mindset with execution at the forefront, and strong people skills relating to leadership of high-level team members.

  • Manage and mentor resources who are assigned to multiple projects, define delivery criteria, and manage status reports/metric to track progress against strategic priority

  • Should be comfortable leading a polyglot team of specialists that are experienced in iOS, Android, HTML5, POS; RFID, SQL, .NET and Java technologies

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in technology field(MS preferred)

  • 10+ years technology experience

  • 5+ management experience with global teams

  • Background in project management/program management a definite plus

  • Experience with leading people, with previous team leadership references

  • Experience with delivery pipeline methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, etc.

  • Experience with vendor management and working closely with key 3rd party strategic partners

  • Experience managing a budget, both capital and operating expenses

  • Previous experience building a team with referenceable delivery criteria

  • Exposure and understanding of modern integration tools and standards

  • Exposure to microservices technologies

  • Good understanding of Data platforms in connection and beyond retail platforms

  • Understanding of modern web architectures using MVC approaches

  • Understanding of iOS / Android frameworks

  • Knowledge of Continuous Integration principles and best-practices

  • Comfort working in an agile and waterfall environment.

  • Exposure to Github

  • Comfort working with remote teams

  • Strong written and verbal skills
