Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 DOE + variable bonus
Location: Remote
Travel: 25% domestic and international (Mexico and Central America)
What You Will Be Doing The Principal Application Engineer is primarily responsible for serving as a technical product specialist for Battery Energy Storage and PV inverter systems. As a subject matter expert, you will advise customers on their technical questions using various communication methods across multiple platforms, with their expert knowledge.
Duties include
- Consulting with customers by analyzing system specifications and requirements.
- Reviewing and/or proposing system designs based on expert knowledge and known solutions.
- Answering advanced technical questions, and developing and presenting internal sales materials.
- Review customer and utility interconnection requirements and identifies the correct products and services for their project.
- Creates technical training presentations sharing their expertise for internal and external teams.
- Conducts competitor analysis and provides technical argumentation to successfully compete against the analyzed products and/or solutions.
What You Need for this Position Required:
- 10 years of experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Solar industry
- Utility-Scale
- Power electronics including large inverters and transformer systems
- Power Systems Design

Preferred:
- Masters degree
- Battery technology
- Energy Storage Systems
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
