We are representing a client who is a highly reputable civil engineering construction firm located in the Washington Metro area.

We provide engineering services as it relates to power distribution, gas distribution, manhole install/ repair, communications/ fiberoptic solutions, feasibility studies, value engineering, and traffic control. For 20+ years, we have been completing highly complex underground projects, and due to continued company growth, we are currently hiring for a Heavy Civil Estimator who preferably has 3+ years of experience working on Underground Construction projects.

What You Will Be Doing You will be responsible for creating cost estimation reports/ bids through proposals, blueprints, specs and other documents working with appropriate team members (PMs, clients, bidding competitors, etc). You will build and maintain relationships with key vendors and ensure our bidding is competitive and accurate. You will be responsible for preparing bids at all levels of project completion, and ensure that we receive competitive pricing through maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
What You Need for this Position 3+ years of experience in a Construction Estimator position ideally working on Underground Utility Projects (in Sewer, Storm Drain, Water Systems) plus:
- BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
- Experience w/ ADS, CSP, DIP, HDPE, PVC, RCP, VCP, WSP, Contech Engineered Solutions, ACF Environmental R-Tank, Concrete Structures
- Working knowledge of MS Office, On Center OST, MS Project, & HCSS Software
