Job Description:

Your responsibilities

SUMMARY: Plans and conducts activities related to LCM. Has the responsibility for change coordination and implementation, product and process performance and conformity, change related deviation management, on time customer PPAP approvals for given changes at the respective plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Serves as the contact person within the plant for change management

  • Coordinates checklists for all changes until completion in timely manner

  • Organizes meetings concerning launch and/or change topics

  • Supports plant-departments in creating change requests in PLM upon request.

  • Facilitates all plant related launch and change management activities for assigned products and coordination with internal, external team, customer, etc.

  • Ensures customer systems are updated in accordance with launch and change timing (such as VPP for Ford etc.) as well as with IMDS

  • Identifies quality related open topics for a change at the right time, communicating to entire team and requesting for deviations (internal and customer). Tracking the deviations pertaining to launches or changes for expiration and taking appropriate actions

  • Gathers feedback from the plant to support during internal and external change reviews

  • Tracks and completes assigned open tasks as per change and checklist, all action database, or any other assigned actions

  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures

  • Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes

  • Prepares and presents change and quality related technical and program

  • Supports launch readiness and/or co-audits for process readiness audit with lead auditor from quality systems and other team members as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of automotive industry quality management standards (AIAG - APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, etc.) and quality assurance problem solving tools (E.g. 5-Why, Cause & Effect Diagrams, DOE, 8D, Six sigma etc.) is preferred or will be developed.

  • In depth knowledge of GD&T and ability to read drawings is preferred or will be developed.

  • Excellent written, communication and people skills are required.

  • Project Leader experience is preferred, but not required.

  • Team Development and Team Building experience/skills are required.


Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors of Science degree in an Engineering field is preferred.
