Job Title: Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field
Reports To: Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field Coach/Director of Athletics
Status: Part- Time, Hourly
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The assistant coach for men’s and women’s cross country/track and field is responsible for duties pertaining to the management, training, and organization of the college’s cross country, and track and field program.
Have a fundamental understanding of the college student-athlete experience.
Assist in running and planning daily practices
Assist in recruiting and retaining qualified student-athletes, with compliance and knowledge of NCAA, Skyline Conference and the college’s rules and regulations.
Other duties as assigned by the head cross country/track and field coach and/or the Director of Athletics.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree.
Competitive cross country and track and field experience is required, distance running experience preferred, ideally at the college level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organizational and time management skills.
Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism, with a high standard of personal conduct and integrity.
Ability to work independently and within a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
