Henkels & McCoy (H&M) is currently seeking Equipment Operators for our Telecommunications program operating out of Alabama. This position reports to the Construction Manager.

An Equipment Operator will operate various pieces of equipment such as Bull Dozier, Trencher, Directional Drill, Excavator, and Backhoe. Equipment is used to excavate, grade, move dirt, gravel or other materials. Operator may read and interpret grade and slope stakes and simple plans.

Major Job Elements

• Performs all duties accordingto prescribed safety procedures and uses appropriate safety equipment.
  
• May be required to operate various pieces of equipment as needed.
  
• Provides support for crews during all phases of construction activity.
  
• Reads and interprets plans, instructions, and specifications to determine work activities.
  

Qualifications

• Ability to travel throughout multiple statesas needed is required.
  

• Previous experiencein construction for utilities.
  
• Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record for up to the past 5 years is required.
  
• CDL required.
  
• Must be able to perform heavy physical work and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
  
• This position requires significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces and in general, being overall physically demanding.
  

• Work in an all- weather environment is required.
  
• Must be able toliftheavy material.
