SUMMARY


Essential duties and responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products.

Verifies or prepares records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders.

Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.

Makes recommendations to management for process improvements and other cost saving measures.

Adheres to quality, customs, foreign trade zone and environmental processes and procedures.

Adheres to all Company safety policies and procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage cycle counting process
    • Issue daily count sheets
    • Reconcile count results
    • Perform inventory adjustments
    • Count parts
  • Material scrap and gains
    • Investigate root cause and establish necessary correction plans.
    • Report excess material after build to Engineering to correct BOM's. Submit ECN's and follow-up.
  • Manage excess inventory
    • Monitor excess inventory. Review Inventory Analysis Report.
    • Review open PO's bought in excess. Code 20's
    • Review misaligned project stock. a.k.a. - Code 26 review (Excess material on one project but needed on another).
    • Gain excess material into inventory.
  • Annual inventory obsolesces review. Coordinate material being shipped to SR Sales.
  • Part number consolidation. Convert obsolete material numbers into most current number.
  • Adjusting warehouse discrepancies due to incorrect transfers.
  • Cycle counting MAG inventory at supplier locations.

Qualifications:

Education:



High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus ten years related experience and/or training.


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Knowledge of inventory control, stock room procedures, purchasing functions, and production control procedures. Ability to organize work and establish priorities with limited supervision. Knowledge of MRP system. Must have valid state driver license.
