Position Summary



The Human Resource Assistant will work closely with the HR Manager to run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including new hire orientation, administration of leave of absences, payroll overview, new hire enrollment, employee relations, regulatory compliance, and training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


§ Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters
§ Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures
§ Recommend strategies to motivate employees
§ Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates
§ Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees
§ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
§ Coordinate open enrollments, changes, and training for employee benefits programs
§ Respond to human resources-related inquiries
§ Assist with payroll processing
§ Assist in creating and distributing internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies
§ Administer new employee onboarding and orientation
§ Monitor employee morale and company culture
§ Maintain employee records

Skills and Abilities



§ Demonstrated knowledge in human resources
§ Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
§ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
§ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
§ Ability to prioritize tasks
§ Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
§ Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Education and Experience Requirements



§ Associates degree or 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred
§ 3-5 years of progressive human resources experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment
§ Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
§ Bilingual (English / Spanish) a must
§ PHR or SPHR certification preferred
