Job Description:

Your responsibilities

Ensures that the quality system enables processes yielding a high level of quality meeting customer requirements. The Quality Engineer will update and create quality processes and procedures supporting the QMS. Will create and implement a system to measure and monitor performance and report findings. The Quality Engineer will lead quality improvement projects based on external and internal data using statistical and lean methodologies. The Quality Engineer supports the Sales organization in reviewing and approving customer specifications and requirements during new product, and/or account on-boarding.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Coordinates and conducts product, process, and system audits to ensure the quality system meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements

  • Monitors and improves quality processes i.e. Internal Audit, Measurements System, Corrective Action

  • Analyzes quality data using typical quality, and advanced statistical tools

  • Documents and leads resolution of customer quality issues using formal problem solving methodologies such as 8D or six sigma DMAIC

  • Creates quality reports showing trends, and critical issues needing resolution

  • Coordinates and collaborates with associates, Operations, Sales, and Procurement management on quality issues

  • Collaborates with the OPEX team on Lean initiatives

Your profile

Minimum Requirements:


  • Lean/Six Sigma experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the quality function

  • Knowledge using formal problem solving methodologies

  • Knowledge of measurement systems, metrology, and GD&T

  • Knowledge of statistical sampling and process control tools

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of statistical packages and Microsoft Office

  • Systems normally required


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in metal/machining manufacturing environment.

  • Certified Quality Engineer, or 6-sigma certification

  • Experience working with a quality system registered to Aerospace, Automotive, or Medical quality standard
