Top Reasons to Work with Us We are an ENR Top Mechanical Contractor looking to add a dedicated and knowledgeable BIM/VDC Designer to the team.
What You Will Be Doing The BIM/VDC Designer creates trade specific virtual models of plumbing, HVAC piping, or HVAC ductwork systems utilizing Autodesk Fabrication + Revit software platforms. The position works closely with VDC Project Leaders to execute virtual model development, BIM coordination, and distribution of required construction deliverables aligning with construction schedules and within target budgets.

-Creates trade specific virtual models utilizing Autodesk Fabrication + Revit software platform during all phases of commercial HVAC & plumbing projects.
-Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders during the BIM Coordination phase of the VDC workflow.
-Creates detailed fabrication and/or construction drawings to support relative pre-fabrication activities within a manufacturing environment or relative production activities on commercial construction projects.
-Provides constructability review of construction documents to ensure compliance with organizations means and methods.
-May generate reports for client feedback such as Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Pricing (RFP) during any phase of the construction project.
-May assist pre-construction stakeholders in development of estimating models for project pursuits.
-May be required to directly collaborate with external stakeholders such as Building Owners, General Contractors, Architects, Engineers, and/or Vendors.
What You Need for this Position -2+ years of combined AutoCAD & Revit experience.
-Knowledge of construction practices relative to installation and/or fabrication of HVAC ductwork systems
-Must be able to perform site surveys and/or field measurements of work as needed to support VDC activities.
