Job Description:

The Renewal Account Specialist I is accountable for proactively monitoring, maintaining and extending service contracts for existing customers.   The primary responsibility of this position is to monitor contract renewal terms and to actively engage with customers to determine most mutually beneficial actions that retain and expand the relationship.  The Renewal Account Specialist will partner with sales, be primary contact with customers and provide guidance regarding continuing support and contract renewal. This position is responsible for the retention of the customers up for renewal.  Uses seasoned judgment in non-routine renewal matters that maintains contract integrity and profitability.


 


What you’ll be doing:



  • Reviews customer renewal information, usage data, renewal rates and cancellations to recommend the appropriate course of options for customer. Collaborate across the organization to develop tactics to attain successful account renewals and maximize account growth.

  • Proactively identifies contract expirations and own the renewal process.

  • Educates customers on support or contract offerings based on current product or service needs.

  • Fully comprehends the renewal process, products and pricing. Participate in process improvements and optimization of existing procedures.

  • Coordinates the preparation of renewal quotes and the processing of customer requested changes, merges or expansions per company policies and procedures. Work across various departments to resolve problems, ensure timely renewals and high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Provides proactive handling of incomplete requests, speed to resolve issues, and unfailing follow up.

  • Meets assigned productivity levels and maintain productivity documentation as required.

  • Responds to requests from customers, partners, distributors, and internal sales teams within service level agreement standards.

  • Works with Sales, Finance, and Support teams, when necessary, to create mutually-beneficial solutions.

  • Understands IT equipment, data center configurations, as well as how components interact with each other in order to accurately price and identify missing components.

  • Other duties as assigned.


 


What we’re looking for:



  • One to three (1-3) years of experience with sales, customer retention, or sales support.

  • Demonstrated intermediate level skill and experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Exceptional interpersonal agility and request management skills.

  • Able to work with complex information with minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge and experience in reading, understanding and formulating responses to pricing quote requests and RFP's.

  • Product familiarity with different types of data center hardware, configurations and architecture.

  • Prior experience in the hardware computer industry, preferred.

  • Experience with OEM and/or competitor pricing, a plus.

  • Ability to work long hours or over standard, when required.
