Basic Job Functions:



The role of the Maintenance Technician is to ensure the success of the team by safely and properly performing preventative and corrective maintenance on various tube mill equipment and systems to increase equipment availability. The role is to also be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity and ownership in everything they do.


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 year degree (Mechanical Maintenance related)


• 2+ years experience in steel mill mechanical maintenance


• Mechanical skills and fundamental knowledge of both mechanical and low voltage electrical and control systems


• Experience in Troubleshooting Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems


• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

• Experience in Tube mill Maintenance


• Experience in production type atmosphere
