Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively seeking a Maintenance Planner. This position is the liaison between maintenance, engineering & operations for identifying and correcting maintenance processes, assuring all maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and completed utilizing appropriate resources in accordance with area prioritization requirements and production schedules, and ensuring work is done according to established Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards. Main Objective:

This position is the liaison between maintenance, engineering & operations for identifying and correcting maintenance processes, assuring all maintenance work is planned, scheduled, and completed utilizing appropriate resources in accordance with area prioritization requirements and production schedules, and ensuring work is done according to established Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Supports the execution of maintenance work by receiving, planning, estimating, scheduling, and recording required maintenance data.

  • Develops maintenance schedules to ensure efficient completion of work orders.

  • Works with Maintenance Techs to ensure thorough PMs

  • Coordinates with departments to ensure the availability of equipment and systems

  • Ensures parts, materials, special tools, and equipment are available for orderly and efficient work execution.

  • Assist with Transportation and Rigging for new and used equipment

  • Provides all documentation needed to perform and record work.

  • Implements and manages an electronic maintenance management software system.

Education and Experience:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred

  • 3 years of relevant experience required

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:

Demonstrated experience with scheduling software gained from within a manufacturing or processing facility.

Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.

Experience with SAP and Documentum preferred.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:

Previous experience with manual, NC, and CNC-controlled equipment.

Understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles.

Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.

Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
