Underwrite consumer loan applications regardless of the source and render a credit decision within the designated timeframes. The Levels of Approval Authority as noted in the Consumer Loan Policy will determine to what extent you can approve consumer loans. It is your responsibility to become well versed in the specific guidelines relating to approval authorities and adhere to them without exception. A good amount of creativity and latitude is required in this position. Thoroughly document the reasons in making decisions on marginal requests or exceptions, including the notation of any discussion with Management regarding a request in the applicable notes, processing, or conversation logs sections of the application.
Support the branch network, Call Center, and Indirect Lending by answering any and all questions relating to lending policies and procedures. Your assistance will extend to member questions and/or problems all part of member service.
Assist in all phases of work associated with the Lending Department.
See the approved loans and lines of credit through to disbursement as often as possible.
Possess the ability to pull loans applications from the Internet, telephone, and any other avenues through which we receive applications.
Act as a resource for staff and the Training Department on lending policy and procedural related matters. Attend and participate in new hire training, refresher classes for seasoned employees, work one on one with Supervisors and managers of other areas in an effort to expand their knowledge of the lending process and educate staff on system or policy changes.

What we need from you:
An Associates’ Degree preferred.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a lending environment are preferred.
Must be a creative thinker with the ability to multitask and adapt to change in our rapidly changing environment.
Must have an aptitude for figures, ability to insure quality of work produced and willing to work flexible hours including late nights and Saturdays.
Well versed in technology used in the Lending Department.
Individual must be highly motivated and committed to quality member service.
Employee must meet and maintain all requirements as a registered mortgage loan originator employed by a Federally regulated Institution with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
Work From Home Requirements:

Able to dedicate a quiet space for daily work that is free of sound interruptions.
